My Bedroom

One of the reasons I started this blog was to complete some projects at home. I was inspired by so many DIYers out there and thought I would give it a shot!


Anyway, I don't have "before" and "after" pictures yet, because everything is pretty much "in progress".


Here is my bedroom, still in progress, but I LOVE IT. I painted all in off-white. The walls used to be yellow when I moved in.

 The dark door  on the right is the entrance to the bedroom. The door on the left is a linen closet. 

The left side is David's. I gave him a fridge for our anniversary this year.
I love my bed... bought in a moving sale from a store at Metrotown... in 1999!!! 

The trunk is waiting to be painted. I bought it for $30 off Craigslist. The Highland bull is a door stopper I got when we visited my in-laws in Scotland.

 I want to change the light to a crystal chandelier...

 This is what you see as you enter the bedroom.

 I bought this black Italian leather chair on Craigslist for $50 and 

ordered a custom made pillow from WordGarden on Etsy.com

I thought it was a great and cheap way to decorate the wall!

I bought that metal tree at Winners for $40.

I just replaced my Ikea bedside table with a table I bought at Craigslist for $20. I painted it with ASCP Provence. I am trying to add punches of blue in my so "brown" house.  

This is a picture of my son when he was 5... the shell is a present from a friend, I turn it up to put my earrings at night Mary and Joseph are a gift from my mom. There is something from my mom in every room of my house! It makes me feel loved!
