My mom's updated bedroom

Update!!!

So you "voted" and I painted the bed!!!

Here are the pictures of this room NOW!

 Notice her pink mirror...

And the daisies...

I had so much trouble with this headboard... had to apply shellac (read at Annie Sloan website) because the paint kept bleeding trough... I took the pillows off so you can see better.

I chose light gray bedding sheets and towels for my mom.

This is a fluffy bed!!!

It shows funny in the picture but it looks quite white in "reality". More details in the "footboard" than the headboard.

And of course, my mom also got a gift box with goodies!
The bed again...
And without the pillows!
Thank you so much to everyone that motivated me to paint it!
And here is the old post, if you want to check the "before" pictures!
Today I am partying at:

  1. Hi Claudine, thanks for stopping by my blog and leaving a comment.

Love the headboard, I had the same problem with an old headboard I did in Old White, I didn't know about the shellac, so I ended up painting it with latex. I'll have a post about it once I'm done.

That pink mirror is awesome too!

    1. Welcome, Nicole!
You are so funny, in that post about "The Precious", LOL!
Yes, I was at LOSS when I was painting the bed the day BEFORE she was coming and the paint was not sticking!!
I read on Annie Sloan site or blog, about shellac. It was actually easy to apply. But I did it with a brush and the directions said to "tap". I guess I should have used a rag.
I love the mirror, too! It was a FIVE DOLLAR find on Craigslist!!
Thank you so much for coming over!!!

I was a bit disappointed that the mattress and bedding kind of cover the headboard!!! But I love the room...
It will stay like that for a while, now!
Thank you so much for visiting!!!

    1. Hi, Jullee!!!
I love that mirror! I got it for FIVE dollars on Craigslist!!!
      I know, HATE ME, LOL!!!
Everything is so expensive (even at Salv Army), she just wanted to get rid of it, I guess?? And is its plastic. It was golden. I painted old white, then Antoinette.
Thank you so much for coming over!!!
