Milk Glass Lamp!!!

Dear friends!!!
I am becoming a real DIYer!!!
I found this BEAUTIFUL table lamp at my local Thrift Store!
It was missing a part, crystals and shade...

This is not the right space for it,
but I was trying to get some light to show you the details.

I fell in love with the milk glass...
and the metal details, I believe brass???

I went from the thrift store straight to the hardware store. Put this puppy in the buggy and pranced around like I had a baby in a stroller, LOL!!! People LOOKED at it with admiration, I SWEAR!!!

I wish I had taken "before" pictures but I was so excited...
Bought the wire part that was missing to secure the lamp shade at the hardware store...
Then found the shade at Home Sense.

I had crystals I bought for another chandelier I am going to finish, it needed four. Isn't it pretty???

So here are the mirrored doors again... now with lamps!!!
My living room was so dark... but I was waiting to find the RIGHT lamps!!!

I found the stand lamp at the hardware store! I saw it and then came home and could not stop thinking about it. So went back there and bought it!

It was on sale because it was discontinued! It has and industrial look, in brass.  Score!!!!

Ta-daaaaa!!!!

I am sharing my pretty lamp at:

    1. Hi, Vanessa!!!
      Thank you!!!
Yes, a friend of my husband showed me milk glass at a thrift store, and I bought my first little candy dish.
Then my friend Kelley showed me some more and now I am in love... need to watch for it at the stores, and also the other white one... Iron stone?? Miss Mustard Seed has posts in her blog in how to identify Iron stone.
      Thanks for coming over!

  4. I love your "new" lamp. I haven't been able to find anything decent at our local thrift stores lately. I need to start hitting the yard sales :)

    1. Thank you, Laura!
Tell me about it! Everything is so expensive, too! today paid $3.99 for a silver "creamer", because I want to make a little pansy arrangement I saw at the "Charm of Home" blog a while ago. I want to pay $2 not $4 for a tiny tarnished silver creamer, LOL!!! Yard sales, we have to hit them and leave Salv Army for winter!

  5. Claudine...I LOVE your lamp and especially the mirrored doors! What a great idea to bounce all of that natural light back into your house! I'm thinking I will need a periscope of mirrored doors to light up my kitchen to perfection! Ha!!!

One thing with the doors now is that every time I take a picture I need to make sure I did not show a mess behind e, LOL!!! The mirrors show everything!!!

  8. Gorgeous lamp... and I love the shade... so much so that I almost purchased it, too, for a thrift lamp that I just bought... I decided it was a too big though, and went with one that was slightly smaller.
